One doesn\u2019t have to look far to find Best of Des Moines certificates proudly displayed in businesses across central Iowa. Winning a category from the votes of Cityview readers is a major honor for the people, places and events of the metro.\u00a0 With that in mind, we decided to throw a party to honor all the winners.\u00a0 First held in 2009, the Best of Des Moines Party has become a mainstay event each February.\u00a0 The Best of Des Moines winners are announced at the event, which will be held at the Palace Theater at Adventureland this year.\u00a0 This is a private event, with invitations sent to all the winners notifying them that they will be honored but not telling them any specifics. Winners are announced in a video presentation with much food and drink present. More than 1,000 people have attended the event each year, as it has become a gathering for the best of the best in central Iowa. Sponsorship opportunities are available.<\/p>\n
